In order to (enable him·herself to) apply this prevention rationale to the effective protection of his·her intellectual property rights, the author will have to adopt a proactive publication strategy aiming at pulling the rug from under the feet of such opponents who practice defamation (1) all too systematically. At worst, the abusive attack will be terminated by a self-inflicted boomerang effect, according to the conceptualized dispositions of the European code of intellectual property (which provides for the polluter-pays-principle [2]).
